2017 Empty Bowls in Rapid City

2017 Empty Bowls in Rapid City

The Empty Bowls event benefits the BackPack Program of Feeding South Dakota while raising awareness about the issue of hunger in our state and local community.  The Empty Bowls event is a simple meal of soup, bread, dessert, and drinks, where attendees receive a hand-painted ceramic soup bowl as a reminder of the bowls we still need to fill for the hungry.
