Every single day, people in South Dakota suffer from hunger. And every single day, people donate their valuable time to fight hunger across our state. By donating your time to Feeding South Dakota, you help fill empty cupboards for families, empty tummies for school age children, and provide hope and dignity to people across our state.
For safety reasons, all volunteers must be 11 years or older. Anyone between the ages of 11-14 years old needs to be accompanied by an adult. Most volunteer projects take place in one of our warehousing facilities, and we want to ensure all of our volunteers have an enjoyable and safe volunteer experience.

*** Volunteer Information Regarding COVID-19 ***
At Feeding South Dakota, there is no higher priority than the safety of our volunteers and the people we serve. We strive to keep clean facilities and follow best practices for food safety.
Due to the recent global spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are taking extra precautions, including increased cleaning of surfaces throughout the day and emphasizing frequent handwashing, use of hand sanitizer and changing of gloves.
If you have experienced any symptoms of illness in the last 14 days or are in a high-risk category, please stay home at this time. We will be happy to help schedule a future volunteer opportunity. Please review our volunteer guidelines before scheduling a volunteer opportunity.
We kindly ask you to fill out a VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY FORM / WAIVER. Please bring completed form to your next volunteer opportunity. Thank you!
