Are you a senior citizen at least 60 years of age on a fixed income?
Having to choose between groceries and medication, or other bills each month?

The Senior Box Program, a USDA Commodity Supplemental Food Program through Feeding South Dakota, distributes free food to limited income senior citizens.  Eligibility requirements include being at least 60 years old and living on a limited income. The boxes average 25 to 27 pounds of food and contain a minimum: 2-lb block of cheese, juice, shelf-stable or powdered milk, cereal, canned fruits, canned vegetables, pasta or rice, a canned meat or entrée such as beef stew or chili.

Those interested in learning more or would like to sign up to receive a monthly box of food should contact their local Feeding South Dakota partner agency.  An agency near you can be found on the Agency page of this site.  Simply filter your search by adding your zip code and change the category to CSFP.
