Arby’s Supports Backpack Programs in the Great Plains
Bentley-Miller Corporation, an Independent Arby’s Franchisee, raises funds in Wyoming, Nebraska, South Dakota and Montana to combat childhood hunger.
Rapid City, SD (April 4, 2017) – The Bentley-Miller Corporation is encapsulating Arby’s Make a Difference value by expanding its donations to summer backpack programs. As an independent Arby’s franchisee, the company has been a major supporter of the fast-casual chain’s independent charitable arm, the Arby’s Foundation. The corporation has used community-driven food relief initiatives to contribute to the Foundation’s mission of ending childhood hunger in America.
“As a member of these communities, it just makes sense,” explained Bentley-Miller’s President, Carter Miller. “We have been in some of these towns for more than 30 years; we want to do all we can to give back. These backpack programs provide kids that rely on school food programs with nutrition throughout the summer and on weekends during the school year.”
During the month of April, Arby’s franchise restaurants owned by Bentley-Miller will support local backpack and other hunger relief programs by raising funds through a coupon exchange; guests can donate $1 to receive a coupon for a medium drink to be used on a future visit at participation locations. In addition, on April 8, all Bentley-Miller’s Arby’s restaurants will donate ten percent of proceeds from each of its restaurant’s revenue to the initiatives. Proceeds from these sales will go to the local charitable organization like Feeding South Dakota, Wyoming Food Bank, and city-based backpack programs in Nebraska and Montana.
Bentley-Miller Corporation was established by Carter Miller and Rick Bentley in 1986 to franchise Arby’s restaurants.
