(Rapid City) The 16th Annual RAPID CITY DISC GOLF ICE BOWL will be held on Saturday, February 4th, 2017 at Jackson Park.  Registration opens at 10:00 a.m. and closes at 10:45 at the picnic shelter. The entry fee is $20, which includes a commemorative mini disc, hand warmer, chili lunch, and a $12 donation to Feeding South Dakota.  All players are welcome regardless of ability. Prizes will be awarded in multiple divisions, plus closest to pin contests and an Ace Pool.  Players are also encouraged to collect additional sponsor pledge donations (form found at www.blackhillsdiscgolf.com).  100% of pledge donations will go to Feeding South Dakota, and every player collecting $20 or more in pledges will receive a premium golf disc.  Since 2002, the Rapid City Ice Bowl has raised over $13,000 for local charities!

Ice Bowl charity events are played at disc golf courses all over the United States, and in Canada and Europe in January and February. Each event finds a charity to support. In 2016, over $357,000 was raised at 225 Ice Bowls. Check out www.icebowlhq.com!

The basic rules of the Ice Bowl are simple: 1) Under no circumstances can an Ice Bowl be postponed or cancelled; 2) No wimps or whiners are allowed; and 3) There are no excuses for not attending. (Either be there or be a wimp!  smile

The Black Hills Disc Golf Club organizes recreational, league and tournament play all year long at the area’s disc golf courses.
